One of the first things we did was visit Sandy’s in Romford. Luckily, the restaurant was quite close, so I was able to visit regularly and really get a feel for the atmosphere and energy of the place. During our first meeting, we basically mapped out the whole project timeline, which was supposed to take around three weeks.
When we started listing everything that needed doing, I honestly thought there was no chance we’d get it all finished. The list included redesigning multiple menus, creating a mural, sanding and priming walls, redesigning flower beds, making opening day posters and signs, window graphics, and even redesigning ceiling boards. Looking back, this experience taught me how important planning is when managing a large project. It also showed me that big jobs become much less scary when you break them down into smaller tasks.
